It is with both gladness and sadness that I write this entry. With gladness, Johnny Green and the Little Green Man is finally available! With sadness, our wonderful friend who so graciously endorsed Johnny's book passed Friday, Dec 18th, just a day from approving the final galley of Johnny Green. Johnny Green will soon be available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites as well as through other retail locations. I will continue to update my blog with these venues as soon as they become available. This has been a long time coming, as many of you have read and probably picked up on the trials I faced, but I am so very glad I waited until I was sure of what I could deliver and comfortable about it....... See Johnny's new cover? I just love it and I'm sure you will love his story! I am offering the first 250 hardcover copies, author/illustrator signed, numbered and dated (shipping included) for the cover price of $24.95. If you are interested you can contact me through Johnny Green's facebook - friend him there!

One Step Back
Taking a step back or considering what is done and gone is not always a bad thing. It's a reminder of how far you have come, what you've learned and helps you refocus on where you are headed. I've had to do this over and over with Johnny Green and the Little Green Man and now that I'm becoming comfortable with how many steps back I've had to take, the light at the end of the tunnel is finally closer then ever! What a relief to be on the home stretch. I recently told my daughter that the road in life is long, but it's what you make of the journey that is important. Ha! I think this was really meant for me - I've been considering it much more probably than she has.
Over and over, I've posted on this Blog that it's almost done (Johnny Green), almost done and now I'm done with that. It'll be done when it's done and to my satisfaction this time around.
It's been a wild road...looking back I've learned so much about self-publishing a book. Going forward I will consider where I've been and focus on. My thoughts now are consumed with where I've dare not to go until now and that is marketing my book, both locally and nationally. It's a great feeling of accomplishment to get to this next step!
Several steps back and one step at a time going forward!
P.S. Become a fan of Johnny Green!

My how time does fly!
All in a days work! Almost three weeks ago I anxiously awaited the face lift to Johnny Green! Now - today the publisher says - it will be complete! I am so thrilled with the new cover and hope you will be as well. If you have visited my website, www.suzantylerdecker.com or the Xlibris bookstore website www.xlibris.com you have found out that the first edition of Johnny Green and the Little Green Man is 'currently unavailable.' Never fear! Johnny will be back soon and I will post again when that happens!
Johnny and I met with a very 'green' lady yesterday and we are so excited. www.bonniecranmer.com She is connected with Natural Awakenings magazine, and as well as many other entrepreneurial ventures, and will be giving Johnny a glowing review but will be interviewing both myself and Julia (Johnny's illustrator) for the November magazine. And by the way, Julia now has her own blog now, so please take some time to check it out! http://www.juilamfloyd.blogspot.com
Talk to you very soon!
